Our Greatest Hits for July, 2009Posted by Jessica on August 5, 2009 in Greatest Hits |
The page views have spoken! Below we have gathered SEO Boy’s four most visited, and hopefully most valuable, articles from July. Whether you’re a new or long-time subscriber you may have missed these insightful and helpful SEO management tips. Enjoy!
Our series about how to increase your website’s conversions by being (surprise!) trustworthy and credible was popular this month- three of our four top posts came from the series, including our most-read post. Amber explains how to avoid bad website design with both helpful tips about what you should do and helpful visuals of what NOT to do.
A post outlining Firefox SEO plugins that offer valuable SEO data or functionality, are easy to install & use, and are free? Who wouldn’t want to read this? Thanks, Joe!
Further goodness from our SEO trustworthiness series: Joe explains the importance of instantly conveying a sense of trust to your visitors. People don’t spend much time deciding if they want to stay on your site- convince them that you’re trustworthy and offer what they’re looking for quickly!
Finally: once you’ve convinced customers to stay a while on your website, they have to be able to find what they want in order to buy it. And it won’t hurt to give little guidance to assure them that they do, in fact, want it. Take Amber’s advice about the importance of intelligently formatting your site’s navigation and using strong calls to action on your pages.
