The page views have spoken! Below we have gathered SEO Boy’s four most visited, and hopefully most valuable, articles from December. Whether you’re a new or long-time subscriber you may have missed these insightful and helpful SEO management tips. Enjoy!

SEO Boy’s top spot in December goes to Amy for her checklist post on common SEO processes and their importance [1].  SEO beginners can easily be overwhelmed with the to do list involved with optimization, however, as Amy explains, knowing why and when a process needs to be completed can ease frustrations.  Your URL structure and keyword research are the building blocks of great SEO, and will help you optimize your meta data and content later.  Check out Amy’s post for these tips and more, including processes for sitemaps, webmaster tools, and link building.

Make your browser work for you with these helpful SEO Chrome extension tips [2] from Bethany.  If you aren’t using the Mozbar [3] yet, Bethany discusses the rebuilt version for Chrome to help you with your SEO tasks.  Among the other great extensions are Chrome SEO, SEO Site Tools Extension, Search Cloudlet, and Awesome Screenshot.    Each tool has useful in-browser capabilities.  I’d definitely recommend checking out Awesome Screenshot for taking notes or making presentations and blog posts.

Need some shiny new SEO toys?  Check out this post from Bryan about new SEO tool additions [4] to increase your productivity.  Ontolo, Trunk.ly, TwapperKeeper, LDA Content Optimizer, and SEO Gadget’s Keyword Research are providing SEMs with new and innovative ways to sort data and cut down on wasted time.  Check out Bryan’s post for more information on how these tools can help you with link building, Tweet tracking, increasing your SEOmoz LDA score, and keyword research.

Blogging is a valuable tool in the world of SEO.  Not only do they help you build relationships with readers and fellow bloggers, but also provide a way to share new information, reach new audiences, and improve your reputation in your industry.  Whether you’re looking to start a blog in 2011 or looking for ways to improve upon the one you have, check out Jen’s 9 best practices for blogging [5].  By following these fundamentals, you can set yourself up for improved SEO along the way!

Jessica is an Assistant Account Executive at Hanapin Marketing [6], a search engine marketing firm focused on generating results through PPC and SEO.
