Insights for Search just kinda “happened.” It’s an off-shoot of Google Trends (which is equally helpful, though doesn’t provide as much data). Insights for Search is great for learning more about keyword interest and should be a part of everyone’s keyword research process. But it’s also a good tool to guage potential for launching your SEO into international markets, or micro-targeting specific regions in the US/Canada if necessary.
